About GE Asset Services & Trading

Capital Assist is a product developed for organisations requiring short-term, urgent financial support. The product is ideally suited to companies that have an immediate need for cash and that cannot obtain traditional funding. This includes companies facing short-term liquidity crisis or perhaps voluntary administration.

Capital Assist is based on liberating the equity in a company’s plant and equipment assets (with a minimum realisable value of $350,000).

Typically, Asset Management Services will purchase the assets outright, then rent them back to the company. The company holds a repurchase option which can be exercised at any time up until the end of the term (up to 12 months).

Capital Assist offers many advantages to companies with an immediate need for cash:

  • Goodwill and owner’s equity are preserved.
  • Asset Management Services will give an approval timetable, often making funds available within days of the initial enquiry.
  • Companies can access immediate cash while retaining plant and equipment to keep trading.
  • Asset Management Services experience and knowledge of plant and equipment mean we can accurately assess the value of re-sale potential.
  • Asset Management Services will negotiate with existing lenders or leasing companies for the release of assets.
  • At the successful conclusion of the Capital Assist facility, GE Commercial Finance may be able to offer a wide range of long-term financing solutions.
  • Whether the funds are required for expansion, turnaround, litigation or cashflow shortage, Asset Management Services has the flexibility to ensure that the structure and supporting documentation are tailored to your situation
  • Asset Management Services will work with third parties, such as company administrators, to develop solutions for companies facing financial difficulties

Asset Management Services has both the finance and the equipment expertise to fully understand your business as well as your asset needs.
